Built by aquarium enthusiasts, for aquarium enthusiasts.
A better way to find fish, equipment and the people who make this hobby special.
Why I Created FishSwap
A message from the founder
FishSwap started with a simple thought: Why isn't there one place where aquarium enthusiasts can easily find each other, share what they have, and discover what they're looking for?
As someone who appreciates the aquarium hobby, I understand how frustrating it can be to search for a particular fish, find affordable equipment, or connect with other hobbyists nearby. Sometimes the fish or supplies you're looking for are just a few miles away, but you have no way of knowing.
I also believe local aquarium stores, independent breeders, and everyday fishkeepers deserve more opportunities to connect and support one another.
That's why I created FishSwap.
I wanted to bring everything together into one community where members can showcase their aquariums, list fish and equipment, discover local businesses, and connect with people who share their passion.
But FishSwap is about more than buying, selling, and trading. It's about sharing knowledge, helping beginners, supporting local businesses, and building friendships through a hobby we all enjoy.
My vision is for FishSwap to become a community built by aquarium enthusiasts, for aquarium enthusiasts.
Whether you're setting up your very first tank or you've been keeping fish for decades, there's a place for you here.
Welcome to FishSwap. I'm glad you're part of it.
